EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES 2017
On 25 June, the United Nations’ International Maritime Organization (IMO) marks the annual Day of the Seafarer, celebrating the unique contribution made by seafarers to the world.
For 2017 we are asking ports and seafarer centres all over the world to show us how seafarers matter to them by showcasing the great initiatives and services they provide in supporting seafarers. Click on the map below and learn about the many services in seafarer support and welfare offered to seafarers in different parts of the world. These centres are not selected or approved by IMO but are typical of the type of facilities available worldwide to seafarers today.
